Diary of Overflowing Love 2: Tapioka Crème

Diary of Overflowing Love: September 15

Those were essential times.
There wasn’t much to know. And yet, even so, life already seemed an unbearable burden.
Envy, desire, suffering, beauty, anger, and death were already there.
And the question was already being asked: “Where is Love?”

Diary of Overflowing Love: December 23

A voice calling out in the vastness
Far, so far away.
From another time, from an era when hands made signs
And the silence was cut by the wind.

The mouth seeks another mouth
The tongue is thirsty.
The lips moan for other lips
The mouth flees from the mouth
The mind has doubts
The heart beats yes, beats no

Diary of Overflowing Love: December 24

A voice in infinite memory
Far, so far away
A leap into the dark, a falling body, the farewell
The longing to see you
Always.

Your eyes in mine
Radiant, unsettled
Wanting to smile, wanting to remember
Wanting to forget
Wanting not to want
My hand in yours.
Your long fingers
Your feet in my hands
The path that treads upon destiny
The routine events and the microscopic repetition of seconds

Diary of Overflowing Love: December 25

Far, very far away, two souls touch
Forever
And ever
And ever

Ah, if time would only stop:
Pause upon your smile, upon your eyes,
In the pause between my heartbeats,
In that small yet gigantic void where the thread connecting you to me spills forth;
If time would stop right there:
Whether far away, very far away,
Or here,
Where my hand meets your face,
In the vastness of your eyes,
Upon the lips and within the heart of deep affection.

Diary of Overflowing Love: December 26

Love is all right
Do you want to be my baby?
Love is all right

Diary of Overflowing Love: October 16, afternoon

Early this morning, we spotted clusters of fruit drifting by. Later, the First Mate hooked two and a half nightmares and hauled them aboard.
They appeared murky and distant, and it was impossible to decipher them.
Apparently, a child had deliberately inhaled poison. The Chaplain offered a prayer, and the Second Mate could not hold back his tears. We returned the nightmares to the sea.
Are these signs of land nearby, or of a shipwreck?
The sky is heavy, yet the rain has been light and fleeting.

Diary of Overflowing Love: October 16, night

She cleaned the wound on my leg. Patiently.
She blew on it and said the pain would pass.
She put on a Band-Aid with little ducks on it.
Then she stood up, turned her back, and walked away.

Diary of Overflowing Love: November 22

After thirteen days of fog and a lack of wind, we encountered a northward current. Daybreak brought clear winds.
The sky is now clear, and the crew is relieved.
The vast ocean swirls around the ship. Our course has not yet appeared, but faith has returned to the crew.
Orpheus sang for us all, and dolphins leapt in the distance.
